Brunswick Corporation says an IT security incident this week impacted some of its systems and global facilities, including Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac. According to a press release the company has activated its response protocols, which include pausing operations in some locations, engaging leading security experts and coordinating with relevant law enforcement agencies. Sources say the computer problem resulted in the cancellation of first and third shifts at Merc in Fond du Lac this week. Brunswick says it is working to address the incident in order to restore the full functionality of the affected systems and minimize business, employee, and customer impacts.
