The Fond du Lac County Board has voted to eliminate two county committees. Meeting Tuesday night the board approved resolutions eliminating the Natural Beauty Council and the Gottfried Prairie and Arboretum Advisory committee. County executive Sam Kaufman interest in participation in the Natural Beauty awards has seen a steady decline in recent years. Kaufman says the Gottfried Prairie and Arboretum committee was never intended to be a long-term committee. Kaufman says his suggestion is that the prairie and arboretum be placed under the county parks department instead.
