A lot of people are traveling this 4th of July holiday and area law enforcement is out in force. Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt says buckle up, slow down, and don’t drink and drive. Waldschmidt reminds boaters to exercise safety on the water. Waldschmidt says people who plan to celebrate with fireworks and campfires should keep safety top of mind. Make sure kids with fireworks and sparklers are supervised, keep a water source ready, and toss used fireworks in a bucket of water.
