The Fond du Lac Symphonic Band, under the direction of Evan Chancellor will present its traditional Americana Concert at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac on Tuesday, the 4th of July, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Vocalist Dan Fee will be featured singing This Land Is Your Land and God Bless the USA. Patriotic selections include American Salute, God of Our Fathers, the Battle Hymn of the Republic, America the Beautiful, and the Armed Forces Salute. Traditional music of America will be heard in Irving Berlin’s America and Glenn Miller in Concert. Rounding out the concert fare are three American marches: National Emblem by Bagley, and Wisconsin Forward Forever and Stars and Stripes Forever by John Philip Sousa. The Band’s performance will be followed by fireworks on the lakefront at 9:30 p.m.. The Symphonic Band’s summer concerts in Fond du Lac are sponsored by the City of Fond du Lac. Next on the summer schedule is the Symphonic Band at Buttermilk Creek Park on July 12 with the theme: “At the Movies,” followed by a band performance at Campbellsport on July 13. There is no concert scheduled for Wednesday, July 5 at Buttermilk Creek Park.
