7-11-23 grothman says supreme court ruling on affirmative action long overdue

Wisconsin Republican congressman Glenn Grothman says the recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling striking down affirmative action for university admissions is long overdue.  Grothman says by judging Americans based on skin color rather than character, affirmative action is racist.  Grothman says as a result the most qualified individuals will once again be rewarded based on merit.  Critics say ending affirmative action means selective colleges will become less diverse.  They argue  affirmative action has increased the  number of Black college graduates and, in turn,  increased the number of Black professionals with  advanced degrees.
