7-27-23 heat wave continues

The end of July and early August tend to be the hottest days of the year, so the heat this week is not uncommon.  But National Weather Service meteorologist Cameron Miller says along with high temps in the upper 80s and low 90s, a substantial increase in moisture is making it muggy and hot.  Miller says residents also aren’t getting much relief overnight with temps close to 70.  Miller reminds residents to take precautions noting extreme heat kills more people nationwide than any other weather event.
