Have fun, tax your brain, do good at October 10 Scrabble Bee! Calling all sharp cookies, competitors, social animals and good-deed-doers. It’s Scrabble, with a twist. Teams of up to four players will work together in two rounds – one 20 minute, and one 15 minute. For the first game, all tiles are given to the team and they make as many words as they can in 20 minutes, but to make things more interesting, we accept bribes! You can use a dictionary, get a letter of your choosing or during round two, when each team has 10 random tiles taken away, you can bribe the judge to get 1/2 of them back! The event will include cash bar, a 50/50 raffle, and prizes for the top two scoring teams in each level of competition. Meal of club sandwich, chips, and cooke for $12 can be purchased at the event. Registration, cash bar and optional meal start at 5 p.m., and play gets underway at 6 p.m. The cost is $80 per team.
