The Department of Public Works in partnership with the WI Department of Transportation has contracted with Sheet Piling Services LLC, Cluster, WI to replace the West Division Street Bridge between Brooke Street and Tallmadge Street. The West Division Street Bridge will be closed to traffic starting Monday, September 11 and remain closed until spring of 2024. The current bridge will be razed and a new bridge constructed. Bridge replacement projects are some of the most difficult projects, as they greatly limit access to streets. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead for traffic delays, as there will not be a detour. Local traffic will need to utilize other streets to navigate the closure.
