MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The number of convicted felons under investigation for voting in recent Wisconsin elections remains a small proportion of the total vote. According to a recent report from the Wisconsin Elections Commission, 23 cases of felons voting in the 2022 midterm have been referred to district attorneys and five cases are still under review. Convicted felons currently serving any part of their sentence, including probation or parole, may not vote in Wisconsin. The report is further evidence that there has been no widespread voter fraud in the state, despite false claims to the contrary that former President Donald Trump and his supporters have been spreading since the 2020 election.
