A three judge panel of the U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld a federal judge’s dismissal of a lawsuit filed by a Beaver Dam man against several federal and state officials including the Dodge County Sheriff and District attorney. In dismissing the suit with prejudice, back in April the court characterized Selepri Amachree’s claims as “unintelligble” and that it was probable Amachree’s attorney doesn’t know what his client’s claims are. Amachree claimed he was illegally detained in the Dodge County Jail for more than six months by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says the deadline for any further appeal has expired.
