A Fond du Lac elementary school is one of eight Wisconsin schools recognized as a national Blue Ribbon School. Evans Elementary School was named a Blue Ribbon Exemplary Achievement Gap Closing School based on closing achievement gaps among student subgroups on assessments. Over the past four school years, student growth data has shown continuous improvement. In the realm of mathematics, the proficiency of students has soared to 62%, a 28% increase. Similarly, in English Language Arts (ELA), the school has seen notable progress, with proficiency levels rising from a modest 32.6% in the 2018-19 school year to 47.5% in the current academic year. Performance data, among students receiving additional support services shows in mathematics, these students have seen their scores surge from 14.3% in 2018-19 to 54.2% in 2022-23, while in ELA, proficiency rates jumped from 10.7% in 2018-19 to 41.7% in 2022-23.
