A proposed 2024 Fond du Lac city budget includes a decrease in the tax rate. The Fond du Lac city council discussed the budget at a special meeting Wednesday night. City manager Joe Moore says the big ticket item in the budget is a multi-million dollar bio-solids dryer at the wastewater treatment plant. Moore says the proposed budget includes a decrease in the tax rate. A public hearing on the budget is scheduled for October 25th with budget adoption scheduled for November 8th.
