An increase in shared revenue will help Fond du Lac County balance a proposed 2024 budget. County executive Sam Kaufman presented the proposed 2024 budget at Tuesday night’s county board meeting. Kaufman says the county is receiving approximately $1.1 million more in state shared revenue for next year’s budget. Kaufman says no positions are being cut. He says rising health insurance costs continue to impact the budget. Big ticket items include several highway projects and a new command unit for the sheriff’s office. Budget workshops will be held in the weeks ahead with final budget adoption in November.
