Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s investigators still don’t know why a school bus crashed on a highway last week seriously injuring two student passengers. Sheriff’s captain Bill Tadych says the driver lost control of the bus on a straight stretch of Highway 44/49 north of Highway KK last Friday afternoon, entering a ditch, striking a raised driveway, before coming to rest in the ditch. Tadych says two children on the bus were seriously injured. Both children received broken legs and one eight year old girl also received a skull fracture and was flown by helicopter to Children’s Hospital. Tadych says fortunately the bus did not flip or roll over.
