10-27-23 fdl community theatre to present ‘it’s a wonderful life’ radio play

Fond du Lac Community Theatre (FDLCT) will host the holiday classic, It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, November 16 – 19, 2023. Performances on November 16, 17, and 18 will begin at 7:00 p.m.; November 19 performance will begin at 2:00 p.m.  “What a great show to head into the holiday season,” Tracy Qualmann, Board of Directors, President, said. “Inspired by the classic American film of its namesake, this show is performed as a 1940s live radio broadcast in front of a studio audience. Actors perform the dozens of characters in the radio play, as well as produce the sound effects.”  This show is based on the classic holiday movie, with a clever twist thrown in: the story is staged as a live radio broadcast. Actors portray numerous characters, and sound effects are done through Foley artists. The show is about the life of George Bailey and he is down on life. A loveable angel comes to George to show him what life would be like if he doesn’t have a change of heart and have a better understanding of the true spirit of the holidays.  FDLCT will present It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play at the Goodrich Little Theatre, located at 72 W. 9th Street, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The show is about an hour and a half long. Tickets are available online at  hometowntickets.com/fdlct or in person at Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts (during regular business hours). Guests can also purchase tickets at the box office one hour before each show for an additional $3 per ticket. For more information, please visit fdlct.com.
