The Fond du Lac city council has postponed action on a motion to restore economic development funding for a Fond du Lac business organization in the city’s 2024 budget. City council member Jane Ricchio made the motion to restore funding for Envision Greater Fond du Lac during a public hearing on the budget last week. Instead the council voted to postpone any action, and possibly meet with Envision to discuss the matter further. Before the motion a number of Envision employees and supporters of the organization spoke in support of the funding. During a workshop session earlier this fall the council voted to shift the money to the city’s economic development fund.
