The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victims of last week’s fatal head on collision near the Dodge-Fond du Lac County line that claimed two lives. The crash happened early Wednesday morning on Highway 151 near Highway 49, when a wrong-way box truck collided head on with a car, killing the driver and a passenger in the car. The car driver was identified as 25 year old Danis L. Vargas Alvarenga. The passenger was identified as 28 year old Yorling J. Gonzalez Gutierrez. The other two passengers of the Kia are still hospitalized. Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says investigators are trying to determine why the truck driver, from out of state, was in the wrong lane of traffic. Schmidt says even though it’s a four lane highway it can be difficult for motorists to determine what lane a wrong-way driver is in, especially at night.
