12-1-23 wisconsin christmas tree sales expected to be strong

Wisconsin christmas tree growers continue to thrive despite challenges.  State Christmas Tree Producers Association spokesman Greg Hann says he thinks it's going to be another strong year with strong sales.  Hann says christmas tree growers have adapted to unusual weather patterns, such as this summer's drought, by changing industry common practices.  Hann says the industry also naturally adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic and has been thriving since.

12-1-23 icy conditions contribute to multi-vehicle crash on interstate 41

No serious injuries as rescue personnel responded to more than two dozen crashes on slippery roads in Dodge and Fond du Lac counties Thursday morning.  Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says icy roads are to blame.  Five vehicles including an ambulance were involved in a crash on Interstate 41 near Lomira.   A portion of I-41 was closed between Highway B and state Highway 49 following the crash.

11-30-23 fatal head on collision on interstate 41 in dodge county

Two people were killed in a head on collision caused by a wrong-way driver on Interstate 41 in Dodge County.  Preliminary reports indicate a vehicle traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of 41 collided head on with a southbound vehicle near state Highway 67.   The driver of the northbound vehicle, an 82 year old Campbellsport woman,  and the driver of the southbound vehicle, a 34 year old Oshkosh man, were pronounced dead at […]

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Federal inspectors have levied fines against two construction companies in connection with a worker's death at Lambeau Field earlier this year. 11-30-23 vehicle wanted in chicago homicide crashes into milwaukee school bus

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A vehicle wanted in connection with a homicide in Chicago smashed into a school bus while fleeing police in Milwaukee, sending multiple people to area hospitals. Milwaukee police say they began chasing the vehicle Wednesday morning. The vehicle collided with the school bus, which crashed into several other vehicles.
