For a fourth year in a row Holy Family Catholic Community is providing a free takeout Thanksgiving meal for Fond du Lac area residents. Holy Family spokeswoman Sarah Razner says over 400 meals will be given out on Wednesday November 22. Parishioners donate food items and gather in the parish kitchen to mash hundreds of potatoes. St. Mary’s Springs Academy students help package desserts for pickup and prepare food for distribution. On the day before Thanksgiving a team of volunteers and Holy Family staff package the meals in an assembly line and greet those who have signed up to receive a meal at the drive-through pickup. Reservations can be made starting this week by calling the Holy Family Parish office at (920) 921-0580. Meals are available on a first come, first serve basis.
