West Division Street Bridge Replacement over West Branch of Fond du lac River

Schedule: September 2023 through May 2024

Description: In partnership with the WI Department of Transportation the project includes replacing the existing bridge structure and approached. Other work includes replacing concrete pavement, sidewalk, storm sewer, grading and restoration and landscaping.

November 6 to November 10: The contractor work on the southwest retaining wall.

Traffic Impacts: Division Street will be closed to vehicle and resident foot traffic from Brooke Street to Tallmadge until spring of 2024. Residents, business owners, and customers should find an alternate route. There is no signed detour as part of this project. Parking is not permitted in the project area as the road is closed.

Alleyway – First Street to Sheboygan Street

Schedule: September 25 through October 2023

Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of storm sewer, water main,  roadway, restoration/landscaping.

November 6 to November 10: Contractor will fine grade alleyway ahead of Asphalt paving. Asphalt to follow.

Traffic Impacts: The Alleyway is closed to through traffic. Pedestrians may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs.

Hamilton Place – Military Road to Dead-End

Schedule: September 19 through October 2023

Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.

November 6 to November 10: Contractor will fine grade ahead of asphalt paving.

Traffic Impacts: Hamilton Place will be closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.

Division Street – Lincoln Avenue to Railroad Tracks

Schedule: July 31 through October 2023

Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.

November 6 to November 10: Concrete contractor is planning on pouring sidewalks and driveways.

Traffic Impacts: Division Street will be closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.

First Street – Military Road to E. Branch Fond du lac River

Schedule: October 2 through October 2023

Description: The project includes reconstruction of water main and laterals, spot repair roadway, sidewalk and approaches and restoration/landscaping.

November 6 to November 10: Contractor will fine grade ahead of Asphalt paving. Asphalt to follow.

Traffic Impacts: First Street should remain open to traffic; however short term lane restrictions/closure may be necessary at times. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.

Third Street – Park Avenue to Everett Street

Schedule: August 9 through October 2023

Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.

November 6 to November 10: Contractor will fine grade ahead of asphalt paving.
