No injuries were reported and a suspect wanted by police is in custody following an incident in Dodge County. Shortly after 2pm Friday a state patrol trooper in Lomira located a vehicle and two suspects involved in a serious crime in Appleton. The suspects attempted to flee and entered a Lomira business. It was believed at least one of the suspects had been armed with a firearm. As troopers and deputies responded, one suspect returned to the car and fled the area southbound on Interstate 41, nearly striking a trooper. The other suspect was arrested following a foot chase. School buses were told not to leave the school while the incident was unfolding and were eventually given the all-clear shortly after 3:30pm. As deputies were responding, a short high-speed pursuit ensued involving a vehicle described as a newer, silver-colored Ford Explorer. Anyone with information regarding that vehicle should call the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
