The Fond du Lac County District Attorney says there has been a substantial increase in violent crime locally in the last couple of years. Eric Toney commented following a life prison sentence handed down last week for a Fond du Lac man convicted in a deadly shooting incident. Toney says 18 intentional homicide or attempted intentional homicide cases have been referred to his office in the last two years compared to three the previous two years. Toney says many of the people who have been charged recently have grown up in a life surrounded by violence.
