11-21-23 st. mary’s springs academy exceeds expectations on latest school report card

For a third year in a row St. Mary’s Springs Academy in Fond du Lac exceeds expectations on the latest statewide school report cards.  The report card shows St. Mary’s Springs received an aggregate score of 75.6 out of 100 in four priority areas.  That’s up from a 72.8 score in the 2021-22 school year.   “At SMSA, it is not by accident that we continue to exceed expectations,” states Stacey Akey, President of St. Mary’s Springs Academy. “In fact, it is attributable to the investment and value our faculty and students,  supported by parents, guardians and the Ledger community, place on learning.  In addition to academic excellence, SMSA provides a values-based education focused on the development of each child’s God-given strengths – inspiring each to live a purpose-filled life following graduation.”   The annual state report card, released on November 14, 2023, looks at a portion of SMSA students and their performance during the 2022-2023 school year. Statewide, schools and districts receive grades in four priority areas, which are aggregated into an overall accountability score from 0 to 100. The four priority areas focus on achievement and growth in the academic areas of English Language Arts (ELA) and mathematics, as well as the outcomes of students with the lowest test scores and progress to graduation.
