The Agnesian HealthCare Foundation has received 3,000 Bombas socks to share with individuals served by the SSM Health Samaritan Clinic, emergency rooms, and long-term care facilities. Bombas is a comfort-focused, basics apparel brand with a mission to help those in need. The company was originally founded in 2013 because socks are the #1 most requested clothing item at homeless shelters. Underwear and T-shirts are #2 and #3 respectively. While the brand started with and is known for its extremely comfortable socks, Bombas used its expertise in comfort to launch into apparel with t-shirts in 2019 and most recently, underwear in 2021. For every item purchased, a specially-designed item is donated to someone at risk of or currently experiencing homelessness. To date, Bombas has donated over 100 million items. “We work closely with our teams to thoroughly understand the specific needs of our patients and their families,” says Shawn Fisher, Agnesian HealthCare Foundation executive director. “We have been supplying socks annually to our Samaritan Clinic patients, as well as individuals coming to our emergency rooms. This donation will help us continue these efforts. Thanks to generous donations, we are also able to provide hats, gloves and other clothing items to those in our communities who are struggling financially.” The Agnesian HealthCare Foundation accepts donations to help area individuals and families during personal struggles, as well as helping to expand local programs and services.
