Area high school students and local entrepreneurs are pitching their business ideas with the winners advancing to a regional pitch contest this week. Envision Greater Fond du Lac hosted their first ever This Pitch event earlier this month… one for high school students and one for adults. Envision Vice President of membership and resource development Joe Venhuizen says the high school competition showcased innovative ideas from Campbellsport, Laconia and North Fond du Lac High Schools. Venhuizen says Arianna McCormick-Wilson’s AMW Arts LLC took the top spot in the adult competition advocating for art’s value through classes and personalized 2D art commissions. Top winners advance to the NEW Launch Alliance regional Pitch event Thursday where they will compete for additional funding for their business ideas and broad investor attention.
