Republican congressmen, Glenn Grothman and Bryan Steil, voted with Democratic representatives Mark Pocan and Gwen Moore to expel embattled New York Republican congressman George Santos Friday. The first-term lawmaker was accused of theft and fraud, and had admitted to fabricating much of his personal and professional life. Four Wisconsin Republicans voted against removing Santos, noting he has not yet been convicted of any of the 23 federal felony charges he faces. But the House voted 311 to 114 to remove him.
