The state Department of Ag, Trade and Consumer Protection is encouraging people to shop online safely this holiday season. Administrator with the Division of Trade and Consumer Protection, Michelle Reinen, says when shopping online watch out for fake websites. Reinen says do not agree to a buy now, pay later plan unless you understand how it works, or if you do not want to read all the fine print. And Reinen says never buy a pet online before you verify with a veterinarian or trusted person that the pet is real.
