A Fond du Lac man was seriously injured in an SUV vs bicycle crash in Dodge County. The crash happened shortly before 5:30pm Friday on state Highway 60 near Roche Road in the town of Elba. A preliminary investigation shows an SUV driven by a 28 year old Columbus woman was eastbound on Highway 60 when the SUV struck a 31 year old Fond du Lac man who was riding a bicycle. The man was wearing a bike helmet but was flown by helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison with potentially life-threatening injuries. Investigators say he was also wearing dark clothing and did not have any lighting on. The crash occurred near the fog line.
