Envision Greater Fond du Lac hosted a ribbon cutting at member organization, The Stretch, to commemorate the new ownership and re-opening of the restaurant. The Stretch is the iconic truck stop on highway 41; the “stretch” connecting the southern part of the highway to the northern end. Under new ownership, this restaurant is tastefully redecorated and now has a bright, inviting atmosphere where guests can enjoy the classics, as well as new dishes. Additionally, the bakery is brought in fresh from a Ukrainian bakery in the southwest part of Wisconsin. “Our family is proud and excited to bring this restaurant back to life,” Shpendi Alimi, manager and owner, said. “We want people to visit and enjoy our classics, as well as new recipes, in this new, clean space.” The Stretch is located at 565 N.
