1-2-24 winning $50,000 powerball ticket sold in green lake

The weather may be getting colder, but December has been a hot month for Wisconsin Powerball players. A winning $50,000 Powerball ticket was sold at GL Crossroads Convenience on 760 Commercial Ave. in Green Lake for the Wednesday, December 27 drawing. The winning ticket matched four of five numbers (4-11-38-51-68) and the Powerball (5). It is the ninth winning Powerball ticket of $50,000 or more sold in Wisconsin this month.  With one Powerball drawing remaining until the New Year, the jackpot that’s been growing over the holidays continues to get bigger! The estimated Powerball jackpot for Saturday’s drawing is $760 million – the ninth largest jackpot is the game’s history.   Tom Karlovich, owner of GL Crossroads Convenience, said the growing Powerball jackpot impacts store sales. “We can tell our daily sales grow fast when the jackpot gets this big.”   It’s been a lucky year for GL Crossroads Convenience. In July, the Lottery retailer sold an $11,000 winning Badger 5 jackpot ticket.  “Hopefully, the next time we sell a jackpot ticket, it will be the big one. Got my fingers crossed,” Karlovich added.
