The Waupun SAGES program has received a major grant to expand programming and add food animals to their project and place-based learning model. Agriculture science teacher at SAGES, Kim Pokorny, says the $50,000 grant from Compeer Financial’s Fund for Rural America will allow the school to continue its vision for agricultural education programs. Pokorny says the school will use the funds for research plotgs, implementing food animals, expanding school gardens, creating ag businesses, and procuring supplies.
