1-24-24 fire significantly damages fdl home

Nobody was injured in a fire that significantly damaged a Fond du Lac home.   Shortly after 9am Tuesday firefighters were called to 390 Tompkins Street for a report of a basement fire.   Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue Division Chief of Community Risk Reduction and Life Safety Jason Roberts says the fire had already extended to the first level of the home by  the time firefighters arrived on the scene.   Roberts says fortunately nobody was injured in the fire.  Up to seven occupants are being assisted by the Red Cross.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
