WAUKESHA, Wis. (AP) — Prosecutors have charged an 18-year-old Wisconsin woman with killing a family’s chihuahua while she was babysitting. The woman was charged Monday in Waukesha County with a felony count of animal mistreatment using a dangerous weapon. Authorities said they received a call from the Sussex family on Friday evening that they had found their chihuahua, named Batman, dead. Batman had suffered a possible stab wound and had a plastic bag on his head. The woman was babysitting the family’s 4-year-old daughter at the time. She said she shooed the dog away but didn’t say she killed it.
