Nominations are due by Thursday, February 15.   “Every year we look forward to recognizing individuals who are making a positive difference in our communities,” said Jill Orton, Interim Regional CEO for the Red Cross of Wisconsin. “This is an opportunity to show them our appreciation for their selfless actions, whether it’s by responding to an emergency and saving someone’s life, educating our children or lending a hand to those going through a difficult time. If you know of individuals or groups who are deserving of recognition, we encourage you to nominate them.”   Honorees will be celebrated across eight categories: Adult, Blood Services, Community Impact, Disaster Relief, Emergency Response, Military, Red Cross Herro and Youth & Young Adult (under 24). Nominees may come from any of the Red Cross Southeast Wisconsin Chapter’s eight counties: Dodge, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth, Washington and Waukesha.   Stories where someone used their Red Cross training to save someone’s life, or helped others through a lifetime of volunteerism, are encouraged.
