Nobody was injured in a fire that significantly damaged a Waupun home. Shortly after 8:30am Tuesday firefighters were called to the Tom Sauer home at 701 Brandon Street to find smoke coming from the roof and second floor windows. Fire crews were on the scene for more than two hours. The fire caused significant damage to the second floor and smoke and water damage throughout the house. The house is uninhabitable and one person is displaced and being assisted by the Red Cross. The fire appears to have started on the second floor in the area of the chimney for a wood stove that was in use.
