Record high temperatures are a possibility this week as unseasonably warm winter weather is in the forecast all week. National Weather Service meteorologist Taylor Patterson says in addition to the mild temperatures, strong winds will also cause any ice on Lake Winnebago to shift with the sturgeon spearing season set to open this weekend. “As that low pressure system comes in it will get gusty and it will be rainy,” Patterson told WFDL news. “There won’t be a lot of ice when you’re this warm, especially for how long we’ve been warm.”
