Wiscconsin Democratic U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin has introduced bipartisan legisltation designed to protect children from the dangers of e-cigarettes. Fond du Lac County Tobacco Prevention and Control coordinator Johanna Brotz says the Resources to Prevent Youth Vaping Act would require e-cigarette manufacturers help conduct stronger oversight of the industry and increase awareness of the danger of e-cigarettes. Brotz says the bill would hold e-cigarette companies accountable for the youth vaping crisis. In Wisconsin 32 percent of high schoolers have tried e-cigarettes and 20 percent consider themselves current users.
