The Red Cross is urging residents to give blood as a winter weather threat continues in many parts of the country. American Red Cross in Wisconsin spokeswoman Laura McGuire says all blood types, but especially typ O blood donors are needed by hospitals. McGuire says as Feburary continues so does the potential for additional weather systems to disrupt blood drives and the ability to provide blood products to hospitals. Blood drives are being held this month in Fond du Lac and Ripon.
