2-19-24 arrests made in dodge county home invasion

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has made two arrests in connection with an  armed home  invasion that occurred in the Town of Hustisford a little more than a year ago.   Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says  60-year-old Robert L. Ledbetter, and 45-year-old Anthony Smith , both from  Missouri are currently in custody in the State of Missouri and are facing extradition back to Wisconsin.   The pair face multiple charges including armed robbery, burglary, false imprisonment and impersonating an officer.   On  January 28th, 2023 a town of Hustisford resident said two men forced their way inside his house, stating they were police officers looking for a homicide suspect.   One suspect stayed with the victim while the other suspect searched the house asking where the victim’s valuables were.   Nobody was injured and the suspects fled the scene in a pickup truck.
