Lyco Manufacturing says authorities are investigating the deaths of the company’s chairman and his wife. In a statement to employees, the Columbus manufacturing company said law enforcement has informed us that Chairman Dave Zittel and his wife Sue Zittel had both been found dead. “We are shocked and extremely pained by this news, and we are in touch with the authorities as they gather the facts and circumstances about this heartbreaking situation,” the statement read. “Dave and Sue were respected members of the community, and they were dearly loved by their family and many, many others. They did much to make the community a better place.” Authorities said Monday morning they are investigating two deaths in the Columbus area they believe are related, but did not release the names of the deceased or the circumstances of the deaths. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that occurred on Oak Grove Drive in the town of Elba, while the Columbus Police Department is investigating a death that occurred in the lobby of the emergency department for Prairie Ridge Health.
