The Fond du Lac School Board has approved a summer school program that includes a couple of new offerings and a new brand. Superintendent Dr. Jeff Fleig says the K-5 Summer School is now the “Summer Adventure Academy,” and for the first time two sessions of swimming lessons will be offered at the Aquatic Center. “I think it’s just something really important that we offer for our community. We have a pretty large lake not too far from here. and it’s really a life skill that we feel we need to offer for all our kids,” Dr. Fleig told WFDL news. Dr. Fleig says K-5 Math Camp sections are also added to the course offerings this summer at Parkside and Riverside Elementary Schools. The total budget for the summer school program is nearly $448,000.
