Tuesday is the first official day of spring. National Weather Service meteorologist Taylor Patterson says this past winter was a record-breaker in Wisconsin in terms of above normal temperatures and lack of snow. Patterson says it’s a weather pattern we tend to see when we have very strong El Nino events. Patterson says one of the most surprising things this winter was the lack of snow in northern Wisconsin. This winter was the warmest on record in Milwaukee and second warmest on record in Madison.
