A suspect in a stabbing incident in Fond du Lac County is in custody. After receiving a tip, law enforcement located 50 year old Fermin Lopez-Mendoza near a residenced in rural Ozaukee County Saturday evening. He was arrested, turned over to Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s detectives, and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail where he is being held on a charge of Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide. Lopez-Mendoza’s vehicle was located at a property in rural Calumet County. Lopez-Mendoza is a suspect in the stabbing of a woman at a home on County Highway K south of Highway 45 in Fond du Lac County Friday night. The woman remains hospitalized in serious but stable condition.
