Wisconsin Republican congressman Glenn Grothman doesn't support a recommendation by the Republican Study Committee to increase the retirement age.  Grothman, who serves on the committee, says increasing the retirement age would be a mistake.  The RSC budget proposes raising that age for those who are not near retirement  "to account for increases in life expectancy."  The budget did not provide specifics.  The budget also proposes limiting and phasing out auxiliary benefits for "high income […]

Milwaukee’s Jackson Chourio will open the season in the majors.   Chourio, who turned 20 on March 11, agreed to an $82 million, eight-year contract during the offseason despite having played only six games above Double-A. 3-25-24 stabbing suspect captured

A suspect in a stabbing incident in Fond du Lac County is in custody.   After receiving a tip, law enforcement located 50 year old Fermin Lopez-Mendoza near a residenced in rural Ozaukee County Saturday evening.    He was arrested, turned over to Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s detectives,  and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail where he is being held on a charge of  Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide.  […]
