Work has resumed on a bridge connecting Fond du Lac’s Lakeside Park with Lakeside Park West. Large cranes lifted the bridge and placed the structure on the bridge abutment Monday morning. Fond du Lac Advisory Park Board member John Papenheim says the bridge will make it easier for residents to access Lakeside Park West. “I am really excited about it,” Papenheim told WFDL news. “Lakeside Park West is so underused and it has been underused for years. Its a beautiful place.” Work on the project started last year erosion control, grading and embankment fill. The project is scheduled for completion by the middle to end of May.
