Over the next two months, there will be national recognition weeks for the following individuals:
National Telecommunicators Week: April 14-April 20
National Administrative Professionals Day: April 24
National Correctional Officer Week: May 5-May 11
National Police Week: May 12-May 18
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is always doing what it can to recognize our employees, and not only during these weeks. Each year we look to find new ways to recognize our staff. This year, Sheriff Dale Schmidt would like to open this up to the public and businesses for new ways which we can recognize our hard-working employees. If you have a unique idea of how we can recognize sheriff’s office staff during one of these times, please reach out to the sheriff via email with your suggestion. Of course, we must be mindful that the sheriff’s office is a taxpayer-funded agency and as such we must be careful with the expense of county funds. Many times, we need to find alternate ways to fund these kinds of initiatives. Unfortunately, too often recognition equates to some kind of food or snack being provided for staff, and while everyone always appreciates a sweet treat, we also want to be mindful of ensuring our staff stay healthy as well. This is a recent focus for our staff. As a result, we are asking that you limit suggestions related to food as we have already acquired a partnership with Kwik Trip to provide healthy foods such as fruit and water for our staff in the coming weeks.
