Pioneer Road – Martin Avenue to CTH V
Schedule: April 24 through September 28, Sharb+8482024
Description: The WI Dept of Transportation, along with Fond du Lac County, and the City of Fond du Lac awarded this project to Vinton Construction. Construction includes common excavation, sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer, concrete sidewalk and curb; gutter, an asphalt pedestrian path and roadway, traffic signals; roadway lighting, permanent signing, and other incidentals.
April 22 to April 26: The contractor will begin work operations on Wednesday, April 24 th . The roadway will be shut down and a detour will be set in place. The contractor will install erosion control, pulverize the existing asphalt roadway, grind tree stumps left behind from clearing, and perform sawing of asphalt; concrete where necessary.
Traffic Impacts: Pioneer Rd will be open to local traffic only during construction. Detour is as follows: Park Avenue to 9th Street to FDL Avenue to CTH V and vice versa
Rees Street – Main Street to Marquette Street
Marquette Street – Merrill Avenue to Johnson Street
Schedule: April 15 through
Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.
April 22 to April 26: Contractor will continue working on Sanitary Main installation. Main Street traffic pattern will be restored to normal.
Traffic Impacts: Rees Street and Marquette Street are closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.
Doty Street – W. Division Street to Bridge
Schedule: April 15 through
Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.
April 22 to April 26: Contractor will begin working on Sanitary Main installation.
Traffic Impacts: Doty Street is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.
West Division Street Bridge Replacement over West Branch of Fond du lac River
Schedule: September 2023 through May 2024
Description: In partnership with the WI Department of Transportation the project includes replacing the existing bridge structure and approached. Other work includes replacing concrete pavement, sidewalk, storm sewer, grading and restoration and landscaping.
April 22 to April 26: The contractor will continue to pour concrete adjacent to the bridge approaches.
Traffic Impacts: Division Street will be closed to vehicle and resident foot traffic from Brooke Street to Tallmadge until spring of 2024. Residents, business owners, and customers should find an alternate route. There is no signed detour as part of this project. Parking is not permitted in the project area as the road is closed.
