A Fond du Lac man is in custody after trying to enter a fast food restaurant food storage area and crashing his car on a golf course. Monday afternoon police were called to a physical domestic incident on East Merrill Avenue for a report of a man destroying property and physically assaulting a person in a home. The man’s girlfriend drove him to St. Agnes Hospital where police say he slammed his girlfriend on the side of the vehicle, got back in the car and drove off at a high rate of speed. The man entered Dairy Queen on Fond du Lac Avenue where two employees received minor injuries keeping him out of the food storage area and pushed him out of the restaurant. The man later crashed his car on a pedestrian/cart bridge at South Hills Golf and Country Club. He ran behind a house and was surrounded by police officers, sheriffs deputies and a k9 and taken into custody. He was transported to the hospital and then jail where he faces multiple charges.
