Ripon, WI – The League of Women Voters (LWV) of the Ripon Area is pleased to announce our 62 nd Annual meeting on Saturday, May 4 th . Join us for our Annual Meeting. Marty Farrell will give a presentation on Ranked Choice Voting. Join us for our annual meeting beginning at 11:30 am. Knuths new location is 221 Watson Street.  Some parking is available in the back of Knuths or on the Street.  A salad and pizza buffet awaits us for $20 per person.  Martin Farrell PhD will do double duty as presenter and parliamentarian. Martin Farrell, a Professor Emeritus of Politics and Government, retired after 40 years at Ripon College. He is actively involved in delivering insightful lectures. Including but not limited to: international political issues as well as local, state and national political topics. The LWV of the Ripon Area has studied and come to consensus on many issues and developed positions concerning good government, the environment and health care issues over its 62 years. A new local study will be proposed for membership vote. In addition, a vote will be taken on a recommendation to the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin on the topic of rural childcare.  The League of Women Voters, a non-partisan political organization, encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.  This meeting concludes our year-long celebration of 60 years since the of the founding of LWV of the Ripon Area.
