The Wisconsin Transportation Builders Association is launching a new web-based program to help teach safety while driving in work zones. Association spokesperson, Lane Kimble, says Work Zone Safe Wisconsin is an effort to overhaul and vastly improve safety for everyone. Kimble says the program is a web-based driver education platform teaching the basics of navigating a work zone safely through personalized stories, videos and anecdotes. Last year nine people were killed and more than 700 people were injured in work zone crashes in Wisconsin. Students who sucessfully complete the program will be eligible for a $500 scholarship, drawn monthly.
